I bought a Gotz doll at Ebay and gave her a hair cut so now she?s a "he"! I went very slowly cutting the hair because I was afraid to ruin the doll completely. Unlike Taffy I?m not apt at putting on wigs. It sounds kind of scary so I?ve never done it even though Taffy put up some very detailed instructions. I thought I?d buy a wig if I messed the haircut but luckily I didn?t!
The poor thing?s got nothing to wear but girls? panties right now. Having just about NO time at all I haven?t gotten around to sew him briefs and a decent pair of trousers. One of these days... *wishful thinking*
As Barbara said the Jack doll is way to expensive. Since the dolls don?t have "boy" face moulds you can easily get a cheaper doll and just try your luck with a sharp pair of scissors. Look out for AG dolls on Ebay whose hair is ruined anyway!
One word of warning: you will have to cut the hair shorter than you think! I wanted to keep the hair below the ears but that way I couldn?t get a "boy" look. It looked just like a girl with a page cut.
Be sure to let us know about your male addition to your doll family!
